I did not see the Son of Man while He walked here on the earth
And I wasn't there to witness the great miracle of His birth
Oh, but I know He's alive today cause He's living in my soul
There's a fire that burns down deep inside
And I want the world to know
No matter what some people might say
Jesus is alive and well today!

Now I've made my choice to follow this great man from Galilee
He gave me a brand new heart the time I fell down on my knees
And although I face a battle and I fight a force so strong
He promised He'd be there to take my hand and lead me on
No matter what may come my way
Jesus is alive and well today!

He's been there when I didn't think nobody seemed to care
There's never been a burden that my Savior could not bear.
I've seen His hand reach down and save a lost and dying soul.
And I've seen Him work out many lives
When they gave Him full control
There's never been another with the power of this man
No problem is too big for Him to solve by His command
So believe me friend when I say,
"Jesus is alive and well today!"

Now old Satan comes around sometimes
And he whispers in my ear
If your God loves you like you say then why has He left you here
Then I say, "Devil, get behind, God's love is always true"
He's brought me out of many trials and this one's nothing new
So, devil just be on your way...
