Broken Chains - from the album "Walk Down This Mountain"

The weight of the world was like a ball and chain

It drug me down so low I thought I’d never get up again

I was locked in sin’s prison with just myself to blame

I prayed, Jesus, please deliver me in Your holy name

Broken chains on the ground

Free at last, now I’m glory bound

I’m no longer shackled to the misery and shame

Everywhere I look there’s broken chains, broken chains

I’m tempted by the enemy each and every day

But now I have the power to turn and walk the other way

God’s light is there to guide me, it helps me not to stray

And in my hour of victory I give Him all the praise

Broken chains on the ground

Free at last, now I’m glory bound

I’m no longer shackled to the misery and shame

Everywhere I look there’s broken chains

Broken chains on the ground

Free at last, now I’m glory bound

I’m no longer shackled to the misery and shame

Everywhere I look there’s...

Broken chains on the ground

Free at last, now I’m glory bound

I’m no longer shackled to the misery and shame

Everywhere I look there’s broken chains, broken chains
